In Thurston County, low income people being evicted can be represented in court by one or of our volunteer attorneys. "Unlawful Detainer" (eviction) hearings are held on Friday mornings. If you are low income and being evicted, be at Thurston County Superior Court, 2000 Lakeridge Drive SW, Olympia, WA, Building 2 at 8:30am. After you to through Security, please go into the Law Library and tell someone you are there for help with your eviction. Beginning at 8:30 a.m., we also have a legal clinic for those under 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines who are having issues with their landlord. You do not have to be threatened with eviction to come to this clinic.
If you are dealing with domestic violence or sexual assault, you can get free legal advice at our clinics no matter how much you earn. There is a drop in clinic for those dealing with domestic violence at SafePlace on the first or third Thursday of each month at 6 pm. SafePlace is located in downtown Olympia at 521 Legion Way SE.
