Law Line is a non-profit legal services law firm, established in 1996, that provides free consultation, advice, and community education for low income Vermonters. We are supported by a grant from the Legal Services Corporation in Washington, D.C. We are available by telephone to any low income Vermonter with a civil legal problem. Mission Statement: Legal Services Vermont works to: empower individuals and families help them earn knowledge and skills that will let them stand up for themselves, and enable them to take power by controlling and managing their civil legal matters. We try to provide service as soon as the problem arises. In every case we accept we will offer at least information, counsel and advice as the first level of assistance and continue providing help until the case is resolved. Legal Services Vermont may offer representation in cases where the client is unable to represent him or herself. In addition, Legal Services Vermont may represent when the executive director determines that the issue is of significant importance to the client community.
