The State Bar of South Dakota formed Access to Justice, Inc. to help attorneys fulfill their ethical obligation to do pro bono work.
Cases that are accepted for participation in the state program are referred to private attorneys who volunteer their time to help people with their legal problems.
Applicants under the age of 60 must live at or below 125% of the federal poverty guideline. If over 60, at or below 200% of the federal poverty guideline.
They offer help with wills/estates, consumer, education, employment, health, housing and family law.
