The law offices of Legal Aid Service of Northeastern Minnesota (LASNEM) provide free legal advice and representation to low income people who live in Northeastern Minnesota. Our goal is to provide representation and legal services to as many clients as possible consistent with the most important needs of our clients.

Legal Aid Service of Northeastern Minnesota is a non-profit corporation and we do not charge for our services. At Legal Aid, our attorneys provide basic protection by enforcing the law when our clients' rights are violated, by representing our clients' interests in obtaining changes in law where its effect is unjust, and by informing low income people of their legal rights and responsibilities.

The Brainerd Lakes Office serves three counties: Crow Wing, Cass and Aitkin

Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Mission Statement: 1) Provide basic protection for our clients by enforcing the law when their rights have been violated 2) Promote the self-sufficiency of low income or elderly individuals and families through our region 3) Educate and inform the people of our community of their legal rights and responsibilities.
