Underground Railroad provides court support to survivors of abuse in the following ways:

Assists with Personal Protection Orders

Accompanies survivor to court proceedings

Safety plans for court proceedings

Provides information on court dates and times

Assists with Victim Impact Statements and Crime Victim Compensation Applications

Acts as a liaison between the survivor, police, prosecutors, and probation agents

Links survivors to resources

Helps explain and navigate the legal system including arraignments, preliminary examinations, trials, and sentencing
