Massachusetts Advocates for Children is a private non-profit organization dedicated to being an independent and effective voice for children who face significant barriers to equal educational and life opportunities. MAC works to overcome these barriers by changing conditions for many children, while also helping one child at a time. Our priorities are children with disabilities, homeless children, children who have been expelled or suspended from school, and children traumatized by exposure to family violence or other adverse experiences. Please call our office and leave a message for our intake coordinator (617) 357-8431 ext. 3224. When you contact the helpline, a staff advocate, volunteer or intern will call you back during business hours as soon as they are available. They will gather more information from you, and listen to more details about the problems you are having and the results you are seeking. Then, they will give you information to help you address your problem. They may also provide you with form letters or referrals to attorneys or advocates who can help you.
Mission Statement: Massachusetts Advocates for Children’s mission is to remove barriers to educational and life opportunities for children and youth.
