The Appalachian Research and Defense Fund of Kentucky, Inc., known nationwide as "AppalReD," is a private, non-profit law firm. We offer free civil legal help to eligible, low-income people in 37 counties in the Appalachian Mountains and rolling hills of eastern and south-central Kentucky. In order to get help from AppalReD, you must be low income, have limited assets, and have a kind of problem AppalReD handles. AppalReD can help senior citizens regardless of their income and assets.
