rental eviction

Originally it was for help with a very basic will, power of atty, end of life. Now I need advice regarding rental info. This office is useless. I'll try the one on 6th.

I am not inquiring for myself, but for my house guest. My house guest is a young single woman with a 17 month old child. She lost her job in March of 2020 when the pandemic hit. She received one unemployment check in April, then nothing. The unemployment compensation department has informed her by mail/email that she owes them $8000. The Unemployment office is physically closed due to the pandemic, so she has not been able to contact a human being (in person or on the phone) in the Unemployment Compensation Department to resolve the issue. Would someone in the Kitsap Legal Aid office be able to help her? At least provide some counsel on how to resolve this issue and get whatever unemployment compensation she is due. She doesn't know who to turn to to resolve this issue. I am willing to pay legal fees for her.

Important Information

Legal Aid Funding
Legal aid professionals and organizations oftentimes receive government funding for taking on cases with those who cannot afford attorneys. For the most part, funding is limited so legal aid entities can only take on a limited amount of cases. Qualifications are often rigid.
