Community Legal Aid, Inc. (CLA) provides free civil legal services to low-income and elderly residents of central and western Massachusetts. We do not help with the following legal problems: criminal cases, personal injury, workers compensation, real estate sales, probating of wills and estates, CHINS, care and protection cases, and certain other legal issues.

Eviction due to landlord wanting to sell the property, yet we are going through a Pandemic therefore not only are we having an incredibly difficult time finding another place to move to, but the landlord is expecting us to continue paying rent up until he expects us out leaving us without ANY financial assistance to afford another apartment.

Legal Aid Funding
Legal aid professionals and organizations oftentimes receive government funding for taking on cases with those who cannot afford attorneys. For the most part, funding is limited so legal aid entities can only take on a limited amount of cases. Qualifications are often rigid.
